Under the PDPA, organisations are required to appoint a DPO and make their business contact information publicly accessible. You may register your DPO here. Registration is voluntary and enables the PDPC to keep your organisation informed on important regulatory notices and developments.
Be mindful of the information you provide in a lucky draw. In general, you may give your full name, partial NRIC number (last three digits and checksum) and contact information (e.g. mobile number, email address, mailing address). The information will be used to contact the winners and verify their identities.
The organisation may request for your physical NRIC to verify your identity.
Membership
In general, you are not required to provide your NRIC number when signing up for a membership. The organisation should allow alternative identifiers such as mobile numbers, email address, a user-generated identifier or partial NRIC number (last three digits and checksum) for your membership account.
Redemption of Free Parking
You are not required to provide your NRIC number for parking redemption. The organisation should consider alternative mechanisms such as checking against the physical NRIC and recording your name, or using your partial NRIC number (last three digits and checksum), vehicle number or mobile phone number.
