Call for Assessment Bodies for DP Trustmark Certification
14 Mar 2018
The PDPC is inviting interested and suitable companies to participate as assessment bodies for the Data Protection (DP) Trustmark Certification.
As part of advancing the digital economy strategy to allow Singapore to stand out as a trusted data hub with a well-developed data ecosystem that supports competition and innovation as well as the cross-border flow of data, the PDPC has developed the DP Trustmark Certification to help organisations verify their conformity to personal data protection standards and best practices.
The key objectives of the certification are:
- For organisations to demonstrate compliance with the PDPA and accountability;
- To enhance and promote consistency in data protection standards across all sectors;
- To provide a competitive advantage for businesses (locally and internationally) that are certified; and
- To boost consumer confidence in organisations' management of personal data.
All interested parties are required to attend a compulsory briefing.
Please register your interest via email to Data_Protection_Certifications@pdpc.gov.sg before 28 March 2018, 12pm. Include your company name, and attendee's name, designation and phone number. Up to two attendees form each company will be allowed to attend the briefing.
Do note that only registered participants from companies which fulfil the eligibility criteria* will be allowed to attend the briefing session. A confirmation email with further details of the briefing will be sent to successful registrants.
