As businesses and consumers benefit from the advent of disruptive technologies, abetted by increased digitalisation of organisations and rapid adoption of networked devices by consumers, free flow of information and accountable data governance are key pieces that will help bolster a seamless and trusted digital marketplace.
This year’s Personal Data Protection (PDP) Seminar – “Empowering A Data Driven Economy” – aims to stimulate candid discourse on this front. There will be panel discussions on the opportunities and challenges for moving data across borders, as well as accountability and transparency in the face of artificial intelligence. There will also be workshops focusing on various areas of competency building, such as practical considerations for data use, data breach response and recovery, data lifecycle risk management, and data protection by design.
At its largest scale since the inaugural launch of the PDP Seminar in 2013, participants can expect two days of engaging activities, supported by a distinguished line-up of local and international speakers and facilitators.
