Seven organisations were found in breach of the PDPA.

For breaching the protection obligation, a financial penalty was imposed on Learnaholic ($60,000), Honestbee ($8,000), Chizzle ($8,000) and i-vic International ($6,000).

For breaching both the protection and accountability obligations, a financial penalty of $12,000 was imposed on The Travel Corporation, and Global Outsource Solutions was directed to develop and implement policies for data protection and to put all staff handling personal data through training.

Directions were also imposed on Saturday Club for failing to put in place written policies and practices necessary to ensure its compliance with the PDPA.
